My father-in-law keeps entering us (his family) in these barbecue cook offs. He signed us up for one this weekend.

1. I don't enjoy the barbecue thing.

2. It's really, really hot in Texas right now and standing around in front of a big fire grilling meat just doesn't sound right.

3. It's my weekend and I don't get too many of them so why should I waste it working and sweating at a cook off.

4. It's camping, it's August and I don't wanta go.

So, my excuse to get out of it is that I didn't have time this week to schedule a kennel for the dogs. How does that sound? You think I'll get away with it?
