Okay - I know

You ever do anything that you regret?

Yes, I did.

I sent an email to an old, old boyfriend of mine I had in late high school early college era, via classmates.com. I felt compelled to. I think of him every once in a while and those thoughts are fondly. So I did it.

Well, we talked yesterday and ya know what? Nope, uh-huh. He sounded like a flake. Maybe it's our not talking for over 20 years or what, but Lord he didn't sound at all like the same person and he probably isn't - 'cause neither am I.

But still a flake - he spoke in a sing song kinda of way. What is up with that?

Going Back to Alaska

We're going back to Alaska. Go on up and ask her - come home with me. We're short on bears, but the beers much cheaper.

Okay, enough of Bickley's song. I can't get that song out of my head. But we ARE going to Alaska - gonna leave this heat for one full week and freeze our asses off. I hate cold - that's why I live in Texas. But it's a vacation and I hear it's beautiful. I hope to have lots of pictures. Got me some thermal underwear yesterday. Yes, I know I'm a pussy. I'm just not use to 40 degree temps and rain. We have summer here for a no less than six months most years even more. Today May 24th it's in the Mid 90's. I'm a summer girl. Keep me warm big daddy. Oh well....it's gonna be fun.

Trivia

Today's trivia: Who wrote, "The natives of Northeastern Africa catch the wild baboons by exposing vessels with strong beer, by which they are made drunk. The following morning, the baboons are very cross and dismal, holding their aching heads with both hands"?

Trivia answer: Charles Darwin, proving that if man isn't descended from apes and baboons, we certainly have something in common with them.

The Doctor felt something

I'm not surprised. It happened and happens to my mom. Deep down inside I already knew it was there. Sometimes it was painful to pee really hard and then there was the time when I was on top that the pain was there.

The ultrasound is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

I know everything will be okay. It's just that I hate surgery and every time I come out of surgery it's a MAJOR asthma attach for me and that is what scares me most. When you can't breath.
