21st Annual Oilfield Charity Cook-Off

Last night we went to the 21st Annual Oilfield Charity Cook-Off and had a blast! I even saw several people I knew there, which is pretty amazing when you're living in a big city. I would definitely go again. The Bar-B-Q was wonderful and we meet some new people and everyone was having a good time!

Steering wheel update

A friend of mine thinks that the piece rattling around in there is a part that has come loose off of the airbag. Now when the airbag is needed that piece will fly out and puncture my face. Great. Just great.

nose hair picker behind me - watch out!

OMG! There was a guy in a truck behind me on the freeway this morning (not that this is unusual or anything) and he was grooming while he was driving (not that this is unusual either), but then he took out a nose hair trimmer and began to clean out his nose hairs! YUCK! While Driving!!!

I did some exercises last night and now I can't move. I'm a cripple!

There is a piece loose in my steering wheel and it is rattling around. Should I be concerned about it? It just started this morning.

The weight that I had lost in December came back in February (I hate February) and now I can't break 150. I'm just stuck at 150 and it sucks!

South Park

metro

I borrowed Metro's pic as it was a quick way to get a pic close to South Park.

Anyway, I am a big South Park fan. I love it. Can't get enough. And this past week's episode was so funny.

It was called "A Million Little Fibers" and made fun of the book situation sponsored by Oprah, but not too much. It was totally based on how busy Oprah has gotten and that she had been neglecting her pussy and anus, called Minge and Gary respectfully. Both had down under accents! To make a long story short, Minge decided to take action into his own lips, took hostages and shot a cop, Gary got shot by the police on accident and Minge committed suicide. Oh, the laughter.

To see it watch Comedy Central this Saturday at midnight.

weekend

What a weekend!

Chinese dinner Friday night. Crawfish boil Saturday night and stayed up late playing dominos. We play Mexican Freight Train with double 15 dominos. Couldn't play the Pimps and Hos game as my nephew was there - he loves crawfish and would not be passing this up. He's in third grade - so a bit to young to be hearing the conversations that go along with that game. Sunday after cleaning up from Saturday we headed down to Galveston to meet up with a cousin of mine who is in town from Indiana to attend a convention. It was good to see him.

That's about it.

I'm lame-O and boring.

Sciatica

I'm having problems with sciatica. It's killing me and is causing problems with sleeping and sitting and doing everything. This sucks!

Be afraid

scary

And I thought my son's room looked like Satan's den.

I had to clean it this week because my parents are coming in town and staying with us. Before I could clean it I had to purchase a lamp - the room is in total darkness with horrible lighting. He had only a couple of small lamps. Honestly I don't know how he could see in there and from what I can tell he couldn't. Trash everywhere. Won't he be surprised when he sees it next.

Picture from a 1954 Popular Mechanics Magazine...

what's with the steering wheel?

We voted that it must be the joy stick to play pong with.

It really isn't that hard to do - just look at him

Crazy Tom

Please post a Boycott Tom Cruise message on your blog! Let the revolution begin.

I've joined with other bloggers and yournamehere to start a revolution. This perhaps is the easiest revolution I've ever been involved with (the only revolution). For I haven't seen a Tom Curise movie since Rainman and only enjoyed that one because of Dustin Hoffman's role. I never have enjoyed Tom as an actor. I think he is a screen hog. I got this photo of him from Ubermilf and I just couldn't pass up the urge to re-use it. Crazy, Crazy Tom.

South Park Wins Award!!!!

South Park wins Peabody Award!

And I quote!
Comedy Central's "South Park" won its first Peabody Award on Wednesday, winning praise from judges as TV's boldest, most politically incorrect satirical series.

And I quote some more!
"South Park" was praised as a show that "pushes all the buttons, turns up the heat and shatters every taboo,"

Reincarnation

Go here:

Reincarnation Station

It's says I'm coming back as a (wait for it) . . . . . A Chimp!

Only 11% of people will be reincarnated as a higher form of life than you.
Remain honorable in this life, and you can expect to be rewarded in your next life.

Try it! What are you coming back as?

Day 11

No cigarettes - and I'm on day 11.

13 Miles

I live 13 miles from where I work. 13 miles! That's it!

So why the fuck does it take me over 45 minutes to drive 13 miles!?! I could have riden my bike to work faster than driving! But NOOOOO - I have to live in a city that doesn't believe in bikes or walkers or anything other than driving! There are no bike lanes and if there were the cars would be in them.

I think about you often!

Craig

It's been over a year since Craig's death and I still think about him often. I miss him. I wish I could have spoken with him before he died. To tell him how much he means to me, how knowing him effected my life and how I should have listened to him. I did love him and still do.

He is pictured above on the far right with his wife, Jill, and her parents. Craig was truely blessed with Jill.
